Spring Plant Fair at The Walled Garden Moreton - 2025
Sunday 18th May. 10am-3pm
The Walled Garden Moreton, near Dorchester Dorset.
Our Spring Plant Fair returns in May in collaboration with Specialist Plant Fairs. Bringing together a vibrant collection of nurseries, garden adjacent business, and our own garden team, it’s the perfect day out for professional and hobbyist gardeners looking for something special.
Second year running...
Our first ever Spring Plant Fair took place in 2024 and was a wonderful day for all who attended. Collaborating with Specialist Plant Fairs, we felt we had something unique to bring to the calendar of plant and garden fairs around the county and all came away from 2024 feeling very happy with the day…
We also learnt a lot during our first year, and identified ways to make year 2 bigger, better, and brighter. We’re packing out the event field with a diverse range of nurseries and garden adjacent businesses who will be offering an irresistible selection of plants and garden items. Whether you’re looking to stock up supplies for your garden centre, gardening businesses, or just want to add a few special touches to your home garden space, there will be so much to choose from.
That’s not all, the Spring Plant Fair is the perfect opportunity to connect with other professionals, chat with other hobbyists, and get advice from our very own garden team – who will also be offering tours of our on-site formal gardens.
With our event field, 5 acres of formal gardens, animals to see, and on-site Dovecote Café – there are so many reasons to make sure Sunday 18th May is in your calendar, as this will be a plant fair not to be missed.

Who's joining us?
Our team is working hard to finalise all the details, and thanks to our wonderful partners at Specialist Plant Fairs, we already have a fantastic selection of nurseries lined up for our Spring Plant Fair on Sunday 18th May!
We’re excited to welcome back Piccolo Plants nursery for a second year. Their stunning range of Devon-grown succulents and indoor plants will make their stall a must-visit for plant enthusiasts. You’ll also find the return of Lee’s Alpines, and Crawford Hardy Ferns, both of which will showcase a beautiful variety of alpines, cottage garden classics, as well as ferns, palms, and exotic blooms.
The Gardener’s Blacksmith returns for 2025, bringing with them a striking selection of garden art and fine art bronzes. It’s always a pleasure to see the unique creations, adding a touch of elegance to any garden.
Joining them will be Glenholme Herbs who will be showcasing an extensive range of herbs, Pelargoniums, and Salvias. If you’re looking to add something special to your garden, this is an excellent opportunity to explore their collection.
Springmeadow Nurseries from Hampshire will be on site with their seasonal shrubs, which are not only beautiful but offer excellent value for money, making them a must-see at the fair. For those who prefer organic gardening, Growers Organics Devon will be showcasing their range of vegetable and herb plants. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just starting out, their selection will provide plenty of inspiration.
This year, we’re thrilled to introduce some new faces to the fair as well. Northbrook Nursery and Peake Perennials both hailing from Dorset, will offer an irresistible collection of plants. ScentSational Plants from Hampshire will provide an enchanting array of perennials and seasonal plants for baskets and tubs. Millwood Plants, based in Devon, will also join us, bringing a delightful selection including traditional old-fashioned roses to the event.
These are just a few of the nurseries and garden adjacent stalls who will be joining us – stay tuned for more updates as we count down the days to what promises to be a beautiful and inspiring day for all gardening enthusiasts, hobbyists, and those just looking for something new on the day.
Garden Tours & Talks!
For those who truly appreciate the beauty of well-kept gardens, we have an extra special offering this year: Garden Tours & Talks with our Head Gardener, Martin and his talented team.
At 11am and 1:30pm on the day of the Plant Fair, ticket holders can meet the team where they will share insights into the recent work being carried out in The Walled Garden. Afterward, you’ll embark on a guided walk to see these efforts up close.
This is also the perfect opportunity to ask Martin any gardening-related questions, whether you’re looking for advice on your own garden space or want to learn more about the history and beauty of The Walled Garden itself.
Spaces for tours on the day will be fairly limited on a first-come first served basis and are included with your ticket!

Raising funds for local services
Earlier this year, we announced Dorset County Hospital’s Children’s Services as our Charity of the Year. We have committed to fundraise as much as possible for Kingfisher and SCBU wards at the hospital, and The Children’s Centre and Children’s Care at A+E at the hospital too.
At our upcoming Spring Plant Fair, we’ll be hosting a tombola with some brilliant prizes up for grabs, with donations from local businesses, and those who are joining us for the plant fair. All funds raised from the tombola go directly to support these vital services.
If you’re joining us on Sunday 18th May, be sure to visit the tombola stand! If you’d like to make a donation for a prize, please reach out to us.
