Christmas Toy Drive for Children’s Services at Dorset County Hospital

Christmas Toy Drive for Children’s Services at Dorset County Hospital

This Christmas, we are inviting our wonderful visitors to help us bring a little extra joy to the children spending some, or all, of the festive season in hospital.

The Walled Garden, EMA, and EMA Social Care are proud to be supporting Dorset County Hospital’s Children’s Services, with a Christmas Toy Drive. We will be collecting gifts for young patients in the Kingfisher Ward, Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU), The Children’s Centre and Children’s Care at A+E.

Christmas can be a difficult time for children and their families if they have to spend it in hospital. Together, we hope to make it a little brighter.

By choosing a gift from a list put together by Dorset County Hospital and dropping it off at one of our collection points, you’ll be helping to spread some much-needed sparkle to children of all ages. There’s no requirement to wrap the gift, but if you do, please label it with intended recipient age group and gender.

How to take part:

  • Choose an item from the list provided by Dorset County Hospital – list below! (or you are welcome purchase something of your own choice)
  • Drop it off at one of our collection points which are:
    • The Dovecote Café, Moreton, at The Walled Garden
    • EMA Adult Social Care Day Opportunities Centre, Dorchester
      • Trinity House, South Street, Dorchester, DT1 1DH

All gift donations must be dropped off at one of our collection points by Monday 15th December, ready for the EMA team to deliver directly to Dorset County Hospital.

Your kindness and generosity will help ensure that children in hospital this Christmas have a reason to smile.

Thank you for your generosity and support!
