Little Learners at The Walled Garden

We’re excited to announce the launch of our brand-new Little Learners days, designed specifically for pre-schools and childminders.

If you’re looking to provide your children with a fun, hands-on, and educational experience, this is the perfect opportunity!

Led by Chrissy, our experienced Animal Care Technician, these engaging sessions offer young learners the chance to meet and interact with a variety of animals that call The Walled Garden home.

From cuddling friendly guinea pigs to meeting our lively herd of pygmy goats, the children will have a chance to connect with nature in a safe and supervised environment.

Chrissy will also introduce the children to our resident reptiles, including the fascinating bearded dragons, and they may even get to feed some of the animals too! An enriching and educational experience, specifically tailored to little learners.

The animal experience was such a highlight – the children were absolutely delighted to meet and interact with the animals. The gardens are beautifully maintained, and there is plenty of space for the little ones to explore safely. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the facilities were clean and child-friendly. There is a new block of toilets there which is very clean, I was super impressed that the disabled toilet was so big I could fit my big pushchair through the door and there was plenty of space inside. But the fun doesn’t have to stop once the session ends! The Walled Garden has a lovely children’s play park and plenty of beautiful outdoor spaces, so feel free to extend your visit and let the children enjoy the fresh air, play, and explore.

It’s a wonderful chance for children to learn, play, and develop an understanding of the animal world. We look forward to welcoming you and your little learners for a memorable day out!

Each session lasts 45 minutes for 8 children max and is priced at just £3 per child running Monday to Thursday term-time only.

We also offer group discounts, making it a fantastic value for larger groups. Large groups may be split.

1 adult is free for every 5 children. Any extra adults over this ratio will be required to pay the £3 entrance fee for the gardens and will be confirmed at booking.
