October Half Term Events at The Walled Garden Dorset

October Half Term Events at The Walled Garden Dorset

It doesn’t matter how organised you are, the October half term will be here before you know it! But fear not…. The Walled Garden Moreton here in Dorset will be offering plenty to keep kids and families entertained and making memories this season!

Halloween & Autumn Garden Trail

We will be hosting our spooktacular Halloween trail, perfect for getting the kids outdoors and enjoying the crisp autumn air. On every day from Saturday 18th October – Sunday 1st November.

There will be nine friendly ghosts hidden around the gardens, if you find them all, you will uncover the mystery word! Explorers will also discover fact and quiz signs, learning facts about autumn and nature as they also complete a Halloween quiz during their visit.

It’s £3 per map, and every participant is guaranteed a prize, so no problem if you’re not able to answer a question.

The trail will be on every day from Saturday 17th October, until the last day on Sunday 1st November. No Booking is required.

Important information for Bug and Exotic Animal Experiences:

  • All attendees going in the bug shed require a ticket – including adults
  • All animals are safe to handle, and non-poisonous.
  • Event suitable for ages 5 and upwards only
  • All children between 5-8 years old must be accompanied by a paying adult, or if you feel your child would need supporting due to extra needs.
  • On the day, present your ticket to the event at the Entry Hut, and you’ll be directed over to the animal area by the play park (adults do not need to pay garden entry if you have a ticket to the event)
  • Our animal expert will give a small safety brief before the event and reserves the right to stop the animal handling at any time if they feel the safety of the animals are at risk
  • Parents and carers are politely asked to step-in if they feel their child is becoming disruptive. Persistent loud screaming or mishandling of the animals may result in you being asked to leave the event
  • Adults not attending the event itself must still be on-site for the duration (30-40 mins). Refreshments available in our café while you wait, or feel free to explore the gardens.
  • We appreciate the age limit can be frustrating, but we must manage these experiences in the best way for both our attendees, and our animals.
  • Please be prompt and arrive a few minutes before your session. Session times are set and cannot overrun.
  • For any questions, please contact events@thewalledgardenmoreton.co.uk
  • Due to the limited space. Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled.

On site we also have many more animals to see, our play park, ride on tractors, gardens.
