The bugs are taking over at The Walled Garden this coming half-term!

If you’re looking for a fun and educational day out, stop by for one of our signature garden trails (bug themed of course!) or our bug experiences and get up close and personal with our very own mini-beasts.

Bug Trail & Quiz – EXTENDED UNTIL SUNDAY 25th Feb. Maps available from the café.

Experienced little explorers and newbies welcome! Grab your map from the garden shop, explore the garden to locate all the quiz questions and learn amazing facts about bugs, find the hidden ladybirds and their mystery word, then return to the shop to claim your prize!

No bookings required. On every day 10th-18th February.

One prize per map (you don’t need to get every question right – there’s a prize every time).

Bug Experiences for children – NOW SOLD OUT. More during Easter

The Bug Experiences return to the Walled Garden this February half-term! Get up close and personal with our REAL bugs as Bug Expert Chrissy will give an educational and hands on meeting (if you’re brave enough!) with Katydids, Leaf Insects, Blue Death Beetles, Cockroaches, and Millipedes! (plus maybe a little peek at another mini monster or two)

Space is limited and tickets must be purchased online in advance.

Important information:

• All attendees into the bug shed require a ticket (including adults)
• Event suitable for ages 5 and upwards.
• All children between 5-8 years old must be accompanied by a paying adult, or if you feel your child would need supporting due to extra needs.

Dorset Wildlife Trust will also be visiting The Walled Garden on the same days as the Bug Experiences.

The Walled Garden in Dorset is the perfect family day out in Dorset this February half-term. With our wide open spaces, enjoy the fresh air and get a few steps in before visiting the café for breakfast, lunch, or a sweet treat. We also have a range of animals from guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, and our pygmy goats, there is plenty to see! FREE entry to café and animal area / play park. Gardens we kindly suggest a donation entry for £3 (under 18s free).

Free parking. Dogs on leads welcome.
